iOS v3.0.18 has introduced an issue with Bonjour automatic connections. This means any iOS device using the automatic Bonjour method of connecting will “time out”.
We have some big improvements in this update. Added support for multiple PTT options as well as support for external USB attached audio devices from iOS. This will enable audio input sources from mobile devices like iPhone and iPad and will help many users wishing to use studio level headset audio with mobile devices.
This can also make getting audio I/O from a remote client into a PL Channel even easier as is often needed in the field by allowing an iPhone or iPad to be used instead of only the desktop clients.
This update will also bolster staying connected reliability and network flexibility.
Update Notes:
• Added support for the all BlueParrott Bluetooth Headset PTT buttons and adds support for the Pryme PTT button
• Added support for external USB attached audio devices
• Non echo cancel audio mode is set to default instead of voice chat, which should increase headset volume when echo cancel is not used
• Outgoing UDP port is now random and not fixed, which should prevent some routers from locking out Unity during retry attempts
Making the user experience better is always a major focus and we are continuing to work on more options for flexibility and ease of use.
We now have some new Push to Talk (PTT) options for Unity Intercom mobile Clients. iOS and Android Clients are now compatible with all BlueParrott Bluetooth Headsets, and the built-in BlueParrott Button will trigger Talk on the apps. ( Make sure to enable the Bluetooth - Push to Talk-button option found in Settings in the Client apps )
Unity has always been about using the devices you already own. At this time we are not carrying the BlueParrott headsets in our store however you can easily and conveniently purchase them from multiple sources, including Amazon and Best Buy.
Another new handy option is the PRYME BT-PTT-ZU6 (Super Mini) Wireless PTT button will trigger Talk on all iOS and Android devices. This Push to Talk button comes in a few different options including FOB, VELCRO and a Ring version.
We are not carrying the PRYME button at this time but they can also be conveniently purchased online.
We are not carrying these options in our stores at this time but they can easily be found online for your convenience.
Now you can remotely manage user audio levels! Unity Server update 3.0.26 is now available. Features remote Mic-Trim for users from the Server and resizable windows! Now you can resize or even go Full Screen!
Windows Client 3.0.31 is now available. This should solve login issues experienced by some Windows users. Also this version should offer wider compatibility with I/O devices and fix (distortion over time) issues.
Important Note - We have switched to a new, simpler installation package for Windows Clients. We recommend manually uninstalling the previous version to avoid having two identical looking Clients.

"Unity Connect Saved the Day" that's what happened when the main vehicle used to transmit UHF audio from the frozen Arctic on the new series "Arctic Live" featured on BBC TWO moved too far into the Tundra that regular audio transition was no longer possible.
